The definition of Publishing has changed because of the web. This website sets out to explore and debate some of the issues around publishing in an increasingly web-centred world.

Some of these issues have been identified in recent research commissioned by the Publishers  Association.

The current primary focus is on textbooks and other resources in university education. For example, what is the role of the  publisher in providing educational materials to students at  university? Does textbook purchase correlate with exam success?  What is the importance of design and presentation? Where do  students get their information from now?
